Alter-Ego Productions is proud to announce the forthcoming tour to South Africa of the legendary band NEW MODEL ARMY!

Alter-Ego Productions is once again breaking ground in the South African live music events arena by staging an alternative music icon, presenting local fans the opportunity to catch a once-in-a-lifetime performance by one of alternative rock’s true living legends.

On Friday 19th and Saturday 20th of MARCH 2004, Mega-Music Warehouse in Newtown, Johannesburg will rock to the sounds of New Model Army

Due to time restraints Alter-Ego Productions will break with tradition and will present New Model Army (plus support acts to be announced) for a live experience of two shows in Johannesburg ONLY.

Tickets are R185.00 and will be on sale from around mid-December 2003 through all Look & Listen music stores nationwide, The Doors nightclub (Gauteng) and other selected retail outlets nationwide.

South Africa’s most well-known alternative voice; DJ Barney Simon will MC at the Johannesburg shows.

Martin Rocka & The Sick Shop, Fuzigish and The Parlotones have been confirmed as New Model Army support acts on March 19 & 20, 2004.

Alter-Ego Productions is pleased to announce that these fine acts will indeed be reporting for duty and wowing crowds ahead of New Model Army’s sonic assault in Johannesburg on the 19th and 20th March, 2004 at the Newtown Music Hall (formerly Mega-Music Warehouse, 10 Goch Street, Newtown, Johannesburg).

On Friday the 19th, Martin Rocka & The Sickshop will open fire for the rowdy crowd, followed by the inimitable punk stylings of Jo’burg’s best beloved Fuzigish.

On Saturday 20th, fans get to hear, see and revel in the energy that is The Parlotones in full effect.

Commander DJ Barney Simon will be on MC duty at both shows. Troops should note that limited tickets to all events on this tour are still available (including VIP and warm-up show), but are fast becoming scarce – so avoid disappointment and book yours now. Tickets are available at all Look & Listen stores countrywide and from all Space Station stores in Cape Town, [R]evolution skate Store (Rosebank, Gauteng) and the DOORS nightclub (Edenvale, Gauteng). VIP tickets are only available from Alter-Ego directly. Warm-up show tickets are available from Alter-Ego and the DOORS nightclub only.
