The orchestra's inter-active music demonstration is targeted at grade 4-9 learners.The lecture demonstration introduces 18 different types of African indigenous instruments to learners, describes the history of the instruments and how they are played. Learners are given an opportunity to play all these instruments. Assists learners to engage fully ina experiential learning process, which develops creativity, expressiveness and creates an appreciation an enjoyment of the arts. Teaches learners about mono-rhythm, poly-rhythm and short rhythmic phrases.
