The Belkin Cooling Pad achieves exceptional cooling performance using a patent-pending AirFlow Wing design.

Overheating reduces laptop life expectancy and can affect the motherboard, causing the computer to work harder and run slower. Overheating also affects reliability, caused by increased oxidation on the motherboard caused by heat, which in turn will cause reduced conductivity.
 
So Belkin have designed the airflow system around a patented wave shape and smart convection design to optimise the circulation of hot air away from the laptop.
 
With this design, the USB-powered Cooling Pad can be used on the desk or safely on the user’s lap, fitting laptops up to 15.4 inches.
 
Belkin have addressed the safety and design problems found in other products which make cooling pads uncomfortable on one's lap - by positioning the fan directly under the CPU and drawing heat away at the source. This avoids heat build-up and directs heat away from the battery.
