Unitas 0/21 rugby hero, Wimpie Koekemoer, is offered a contract to go play rugby in England. Katrien rehearses for a play with autistic children while she tries everything in her power to keep Wimpie in South Africa.
Fanie struggles to get used to Christie's plump post-high school body and Japie can't be physical with Liezl because he's not big enough where it “really” matters. Muscleman, Werner "Killer" Botha, joins the Unitas first team en threatens Wimpie's place in the 0/21 team. Werner has, in the meantime, switched his crush from Hermanus to an obsession with Katrien and follows her everywhere she goes.
Werner is tested in Wimpie's position and performs above expectation. Wimpie plans to ask Katrien to marry him so that both of them can move to England to follow his rugby career. In the meantime Japie and Fanie are busy with their never ending antics and find themselves in more trouble than they can handle. Wimpie and Werner's hate for each other worsens as they compete for the position in the team as well as Katrien's love.
In the meantime Wimpie's mother, Ester Koekemoer, is convinced that her child has extreme emotional problems and concocts a plan to save him from the clutches of the devil.
'Bakgat! 2' is jam packed with fun, a positive South African theme and a whole lot of surprises.
