Ben Caesar
Ben Caesar is no stranger to the stage, having performed in London, Manchester and Paris, as well as a host of venues in Cape Town.
Here, he has also formed the local Hip-Hop group called 'New Sons Cartel' (NSC), whose song 'On My Way Up' held the #1 spot on the Good Hope FM Hip Hop Chart for 16 weeks from June 2011.
Caesar has recently come from a year and a half national tour with the highly popular 'Madame Zingara - Love Magic Tour', a 420-seat travelling dinner theatre that has been enjoying full houses since 2007.
Born on the Caribbean island of Dominica, and having lived in Amsterdam, St Lucia and London before settling in South Africa and launching his music career in Cape Town, Caesar has a wealth of personal experience that shines through in his lyrics. Add to the mix a melodic collage of kinetic drums, evolving synths and driving bass as well as Caesar's rich voice, and the end result is a vibrant collection of singles with substance, delivered with honesty, conviction, passion and a powerful message.
Most recently, Ben Caesar had great success with 'Get Wild' on local radio, with the track playlisted on YFM, Highveld Stereo, MotheoFM, GoodHopeFM, Rhodes Music Radio and UJFM.
