Seether and Enter Shikari join Oppikoppi

Seether and Enter Shikari have joined the Oppikoppi lineup.

The South African rock band, fronted by Shaun Morgan, haven't played in their home country since 2008. The trio - also featuring bass player Dale Stewart and drummer John Humphrey - had been scheduled to perform at the Cape Town Bike Festival in December 2011 before the event was cancelled.

At the time, Morgan commented: "It's always great to return home to South African shores and fans. There's a unique sense of patriotism amongst SA fans and performers than runs in our veins!"

Seether, who released their fifth album, 'Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray', in 2011, are the latest international act announced for Oppikoppi Sweet Thing.

British hardcore group Enter Shikari have also been added to the bill. Hailing from St. Albans, England, the electronically influenced post hardcore band have already found much success in the UK with both their debut and sophomore albums entering the UK chart in the top 20 and being nominated for Best British Band at the 2010 Kerrang! Awards.

The Eagles Of Death Metal and Bullet For My Valentine round out the international rock bands announced by festival organisers thus far.

Oppikoppi Sweet Thing takes place from 9 to 11 August.
