Davido readies debut album

Nigerian's newest 'it' artist, Davido is set to release his debut album – 'O.B.O (Omo Baba Olowo) Genesis' on Wednesday 18 July 2012.

This will be followed by his album launch concert in association with Flytime entertainment on Sunday 22 July at Eko Hotel Expo Hall, Lagos, Nigeria, where most of the famous stars hold their launches.

The musician has been hard at work putting the finishing touches of his album, while fulfilling his obligations as MTN Brand ambassador and attending school.

Davido has promised a hot album which will feature all of the young singer, writer and producer’s hit songs that includes 'Back When' feat. Naeto C, pan-African chart topper 'Dami Duro' love song 'Ekuro' and his latest single 'Overseas' feat. his HKN label mate Sina Rambo.

The 16 track 'O.B.O Genesis' Album will also include collaborations from Nigerian music veteran, TuFace plus sure fire hits with Ice Prince, May D, B-Red and K Switch.

The album launch concert is set to wow the audience with state of the art choreography, props and entertainment plus other top Nigerian artistes confirmed to perform at the high profile show.

The biggest surprise about the announcement is probably the fact that his reported collaboration with Senegalese Konvict Music boss and singer, Akon, on the remix of 'Dami Duro' does not feature in the album.

It was reported that the artists recorded his songs with Akon while in Miami. He also shot music  videos titled 'Yoruba Love Song' and 'Oversees' respectively.
