AB De Villiers & Ampie Du Preez - Maak Jou Drome Waar

Many of the songs on Maak Jou Drome Waar are based around positive and inspiring messages like the moving "Madibaland"” which is featured in both a full-on production and an acoustic version.

That AB and Ampie's album should contain uplifting songs is not surprising: AB is considered a role-model by cricket-mad youngsters throughout South Africa (and their parents!) and both artists believe that individuals in AB's position should be a positive force in people's lives.

Many of the songs on Maak Jou Drome Waar were crafted before the cricketer's 2008/2009 tour to Australia which proved to be a resounding success for De Villiers, marking his arrival as a worldclass cricketer to be reckoned with.

"Ampie and I sat down and discussed the direction we wanted our first recording together to go in because I was leaving for three months. We wanted songs that would reflect our belief in being able to find the strength in yourself to be the best you can be, no matter who you are or what it is that you do. And that first song turned out to be 'Show Them Who You Are'."
