Pop
Tomahawk Technique

Sean Paul's new album is anchored by his current smash single, 'Got 2 Luv U' ft. Alexis Jordan, which has become a Top Ten hit in eight countries including South Africa, reaching Number One in France and receiving Gold or Platinum status in five countries.

The album features production from industry heavyweights like Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha), Rico Love (Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly, Diddy, Usher) and Stargate (Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown).

"I decided to name the album 'Tomahawk Technique' because it reflects the way I attack a song," said Sean Paul. "When I go into the studio or when I'm on stage I feel like I am a lyrical axe, a flying musical weapon!"

Sean Paul, who has sold over 10 Million albums worldwide since bursting onto the scene with 'Stage One', has spent the past year working on his long awaited follow up to his 2009 album 'Imperial Blaze' which featured the hit single 'So Fine'. The new album showcases a new dimension for Sean, who challenged his new producers to submit their interpretations of dancehall beats while keeping the global pop sound they are known for.

"With 'Tomahawk Technique' I wanted to show how far dancehall music could go and deliver some great new tracks to my fans," said Sean Paul. "This album is the natural progression for me and I've been able to have a ton of fun making it. I think each person I worked with on this brought their very best and am very excited to see how the fans react to the music."

Armed with a new look and an energized passion for music, the past few months have produced a creative outburst from Sean, as his emergence as a producer, helming the track 'Roll Wid Di Don' on 'Tomahawk Technique' and working with artists like Cecile, Tami Chynn, Mr. Vegas, Wayne Marshall, has been matched by a stream of new music and collaborations with artists including Pitbull, T-Pain, Ludacris, Bob Sinclar, CongoRock, Mya and Kelly Rowland.

After a brief hiatus from performing, Sean Paul came back onto the scene with an international summer tour visiting Portugal, Rome, Naples, Cape Verde, Ibiza, Germany, London (for the One Love Peace Festival), Bristol, South Cyprus and Canada.

'Tomahawk Technique' is the next step in Sean's continued pop dominance and follows in the footsteps of his classic albums that include the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning 'Dutty Rock' and the platinum smash 'The Trinity'. With an undeniable track record for crafting hit singles, including cuts like 'Deport Them', 'Like Glue', 'We Be Burnin' and 'Temperature', as well as a history of taking other artists' songs to the next level through tracks like Beyonce's 'Baby Boy', Jay Sean's 'Do You Remember' and Eve's 'Give It Up To You', Sean Paul is clearly one of the seminal pop voices of his generation.
