Body Heat
'Body Heat' is a Bossa Nova/jazz album by Quincy Jones. It was released in 1974 on A&M Records. The album is composed by nothing but jazz-funk classic.
Jones' skills for original arrangements are displayed, as in the cover of the classic tune 'Along Came Betty,' played on flute. 'Boogie Joe The Grinder' is a disco-funk rendering, à la Roy Ayers.
'Everything Must Change' is a truthful cover of the song, but leaves some room to the smooth sound delivered by the musicians.
This album can be seen as a bridge between 'Smackwater Jack' and the more modern funk or disco-flavoured productions by Quincy Jones.
